Potential Scholarships

What are some scholarships I can apply to? #collegeisexpensive #wothit

Thank you comment icon I would start off by looking into local scholarships. A lot of local scholarships never get claimed because people don't know about them and they pretty much get forgotten about. Also try looking into websites like FastWeb, and Cappex. They let you customize your profile and with that information, match you with scholarships that you are a good fit for. Try and apply to as many scholarships as you can, even if the criteria for the scholarship does not exactly match your studies. You never know. After all, scholarship committees are made up of humans who want people to win their scholarships and not robots. Antonio
Thank you comment icon Consider doing a search on https://www.scholarships.com/. There are so many scholarships out there, the more you apply to, the better your chances are that you can get some. I'd also search your universities website in their financial aid section as there are usually scholarships listed there that are good to apply to Sara Osias

You'd be surprised how many scholarships are available. There are tons of resources out there to help you find scholarships. Applying for scholarships usually entails 3 things: a resume, an answer to their questions or an essay (try repurposing your essays you wrote for your college application), & ensure you meet the scholarship qualifications.

 1. Do a search on https://www.scholarships.com/.
 2. Search your college's financial aid section and read up on the unique scholarships that your college offers.
 3. Chat with alums from your high school and see if they applied to any scholarships. They might even be able to refer you to some scholarships that they are a part of.

Daniel A.’s Answer

Scholarships are everywhere. The key is to do your research and look for them. I know when I graduated and headed into college, my high school had lists of scholarships to apply for along with their deadlines. Often times, companies, involvement in a church or extracurricular activities offer scholarships. Another way to get potential scholarships, are to look up opportunities that are related to your desired major.

I wish you the best of luck in your scholarship search.
