Hello! The medical field is truly fascinating and continues to grow. I am sure you are aware that the medical fields have many opportunities from nurses, medical coders, medical assistants, and so on. I would first make sure that you have some idea in what field of medicine you want to get into and maybe if you want to become a doctor, nurse, or something else. If you are planning to be a doctor, be aware that it is alot of schooling. It requires "4-year undergraduate degree program, spend 4 years in medical school, and then complete 3-7 years of residency training before they are eligible for medical licensing (doctors complete a4-year undergraduate degree program, spend 4 years in medical school, and then complete 3-7 years of residency training before they are eligible for medical licensing" (https://study.com/requirements_to_become_a_doctor.html). I have many friends that are doctors and so far I know they are still doing their residency based on their specialty field. You really need to have a passion for this field and I would say it starts with studying. One of my previous roommates told me that her sister wants to be doctor so she had to take classes like organic chemistry which is considered to be super hard. She also was a pharmacy tech which requires her to be standing on her feet all day and filling prescriptions. I remember my roommate telling me that her sister would usually just wake up early in the morning and study 400 pages in order to keep up with her studies. Working the medical field just like any other field needs devotion and passion. Just make sure you ready and willing to take such a career in medicine. Being a doctor has a lot of responsibilities and lot of college debt. You have to be ready to face such obstacles even after becoming a doctor. I would suggest looking at your desire from all angles. Make list of the benefits and consequences of your desire of working in the medical field. Make sure that you are willing to take the challenge. Keep in mind, you can work as a physician's assistant, medical assistant, nurse, and other areas that are not necessarily becoming a doctor. Be ready to stand by your desire and commit to it. Good luck!

Michelle recommends the following next steps:

Research different job fields in the world of medicine.
Make a pros and cons list of working in your desire field.
Analyze your list and think through your decision making.
Trust your gut!
Stay positive!
