Since we have a lot of time on our hands now Tylar, one thing you can do to make money during quarantine is to sell things you don't use. This is a perfect way to organize your closet as well as make a little extra cash.

SELL YOUR UNWANTED STUFF ONLINE – Examples may include your old toys, out-of-fashion wardrobe clothing and accessories, sporting goods you no longer use, electronics, valuable but nonsentimental keepsakes such as watches and jewelry. Depending on the amount of effort you’re willing to give and your preferred sales model, these digital sales platforms are worth considering:

• EBAY – Is one of the most popular websites in the world. That means it’s an excellent way to attract lots of eyeballs to your unwanted items, fast. Initially designed as an auction site for DIY sellers, it’s now primarily a venue for fixed-price – and often heavily discounted – sales by professional merchants. EBay’s fee schedule is complex, but as a general rule, expect to lose 10% of your final selling price to the site’s commission.

• AMAZON – Many people don’t realize that Amazon is a haven for third-party sellers cleaning out closets. If you plan to sell more than 40 items per month on Amazon, consider registering as a professional seller. You can register as an individual seller. You need to pay a selling fee that usually ranges from 6% to 20%.

VIRTUAL TUTORING – Virtual tutoring is a more personal way to earn money by sharing your subject matter expertise. Unlike online courses, which are available to dozens or even hundreds of paying customers at a time, tutoring sessions are usually one-on-one affairs. However, you can have as many students as your schedule allows. The best place to find online tutoring jobs are platforms that focus specifically on tutoring, such as Chegg. They pay hourly or per-session rates based on tutors’ chosen subjects – for instance, computer science tutors generally earn more than English tutors. Chegg starts tutors at $20 per hour and claims prolific tutors can earn upward of $1,000 per month. Before you sign up, make sure your computer meets your chosen platform’s system requirements – you’ll need a reasonably fast processor and real-time video-chatting capabilities. https://www.chegg.com/tutors/become-a-tutor/

START A DOGGY DAT CARE – The first thing you need to do is check with your parents. Households with dogs are more common than households with children, and that has helped increase the popularity of doggy daycare services. You can set your prices anywhere from $15-$35 daily, offer options for a half day or full day and a discounted rate for multiple dogs in one family. Advertise, and don’t be shy about asking satisfied clients to spread the word about your doggy daycare.

Hope this was Helpful Tylar

I suggest you can find the old thing at home which is not useful for you and submit online for selling.

Since your age, I don't think is suitable for you to work outside. or you can make a deal with parents to do the homework and earn the money from them.

You could always babysit, yard work, walk dogs or odd jobs neighbors aren't able to do outside. Good luck!

I don't believe a good babysitter will ever not be in high demand. A nice QUALITY, TRUST WORTHY, responsible child care provider is a dime a dozen, and most will show you how appreciated the rarity is when you get paid, promise !

Tyler’s Answer

Hi Tylar!

Unfortunately, at your age it can be challenging to find a source of income. I agree with the above answers and think attempting to sell some items you no longer use could be helpful, however, I think asking neighbors, family, and friends if they need anything done around the house/property is probably your best option. With people being at home now more than ever, a lot of people are doing work on their house/property and surely could use an extra set of hands. I always spent summers cutting grass, walking dogs, washing cars, and doing other outdoor work before I was old enough to land a formal job at a restaurant and finish my education.

Best of luck!

Maybe you can try to think about what is your passion point? There are many ways to make money at home. Some people write APP or games. Some people become YouTuber. Some people sell things online. Making money is not difficult, but it is not easy either. You need to pay many efforts on your business. Hope this would help you, Tylar.

LaRae’s Answer

Hi Tylar! That's great that you want to put yourself out there! I have a few recommendations for you today.

1. Create a product and sell it on Etsy, Amazon or e-Bay or sell something you don't need already.
2. With your parents help, create a flyer and market yourself in the neighborhood to mow yards, pick weeds, washing cars, etc. like it was mentioned earlier.
3. Talk to relatives and friends; see if there is any work they need help with.

Best of luck to you! Hope that helps!

I would agree with what some people have suggested with trying to find things in your local area to do. When I was your age I babysat in my neighborhood as my job until I was 16 and I was able to get a job at Subway. I realize with COVID babysitting might be more difficult with social distancing. So it might make more sense to try to start a business doing yard work or outdoor tasks since you don't need contact with other people directly. Good luck! Its great that you are already looking into jobs, you must have a great work ethic!!
