If you haven't checked out Graham Stephan on Youtube, check him out. He is an LA based real estate agent who is honest about how to succeed in the real estate business. (Hint: 80+ hour workweeks taking the jobs no one wants) If after you have watched a few of his honest videos and are still excited to be a real estate agent...

Research who in your community are the top sellers and reach out to them to interview them about their job. Tell them you are in high school and are looking to make it a career and would they be willing to meet for coffee (or viturally depending on your location) to tell you about their job. Prepare questions for what you want to know, including what the requirements are in your area. If you hit it off, great, ask if they have PT work in their office or even if you could volunteer (unpaid) a few hours a week. If you don't hit it off, go to the next seller on your list. Do that until you find a seller that is willing to mentor you through the process. That is the easiest way to get into Real Estate.
Thank you comment icon I love your suggestion about interviewing several Realtors in the area to find the one you vibe with the most! Jules DeGroff

Jules’s Answer

A good way to find out if you really enjoy this industry is to volunteer or intern at a real estate agency in your town. Look for opportunities in well-established real estate agencies with known brand names. I would advise against spending time with a small real estate agency until you have a good idea of how things work in a big shop. Talk with your parents and/or teachers to get good ideas of where to volunteer or intern. It's important to understand the ins and outs of the business, and there should be realtors who will mentor you in this exciting industry.

Jules recommends the following next steps:

Intern or volunteer with a major real estate firm.
Get a mentor or two or three!
Keep an open mind and soak up all the knowledge around you
Offer to help with small tasks so you learn the business
Read books to learn about general psychology, creative ways to save money and real estate sales
