Hi Jadaya! Good for you for getting ahead on your studying! The first recommendation I have for you is to join an SAT Prep course if your school offers it. If that is not the case, lucky for you, there are numerous online resources that you can use to get started. First I would recommend to take a practice test to get a baseline score of where you are at. I will include a link below that will show where you can take a free online practice test. From there, you can purchase the SAT Prep practice book provided by College Board, the actual organization who administers the exam. In that book they provide you with a study guide for the exam. I hope this helps! Good luck :)

Hi Jadaya,

During my time at North Carolina, they had PSAT's as well not sure if you research that yourself to find a sample.

I get it your trying to practice some of the questions and mentally prepare your brain for it.

I would also recommend brain exercises that challenge your cognition. There is a lot of tests out there to keep your brain muscle working.

Doc’s Answer

Jadaya taking a full-length SAT practice test is one of the best ways to prepare for your SAT, there are several full-length practice tests available for free online. Taking a practice test that follows the same timing parameters you’ll experience on test day gives you a strong indication of how you’ll score on the real SAT. Research shows that your score on an official, full-length practice test taken after studying and within a couple weeks of your test date is highly predictive of the score you’ll receive on the actual SAT. Practice test results will also provide you with insight on what you need to work on as you approach the real test. Taking a full-length practice SAT, paying attention in class, and knowing what to expect on test day are the best ways to prepare for the SAT. The SAT has been modified to be more directly tied to what you’re learning in class. What this means is that it’s even more important to be paying attention in class and to your teachers. By the spring of your senior year, you’ll have three and a half years of rigorous coursework under your belt to help you succeed on the SAT. Get ready for your SAT the way you’d get ready for a marathon: prepare purposefully and deliberately over an extended period of time, and you’ll find yourself on the best possible course for success!

Hope this helps Jadaya
