Business operations is a diverse field that includes several functions of a business. I originally started as a business analyst and had a degree in Business Administration & Finance. As I learned more about what different departments were included in the operations, I chose to learn skills that others were doing as well so that I could move laterally and up in the company. It's a great field to learn more about what interests you and does not interest you.

Ops management is high paced and you need to be able to make fast decisions. Engineering and business management are degrees that are seeked out.
You can advance through several technical levels and also move into a leadership path

Can you please provide a bit more details about what you mean by "Operational Management"? Do you mean "Business Operations" like how to operate a business? Or some other type of operations?
