Payscale.com, Glassdoor.com and Roberthalf.com.
Payscale is the better option for salary information, Glassdoor is better for the inside scoop for what it's like to work at a specific company, and Roberthalf is good for industry news. Roberthalf also posts a salary guide for law, technology, and accounting/finance each year.

There are plenty of websites to check out expected salaries, work place atmosphere, workforce approval of the business, and much more. Below there are two websites that I use regularly. Regarding industry news, it is very dependent on your industry. What I use personally won't work for you.
