What is the ACT like in terms of how the questions are formatted?

As a rising junior I am considering the ACT's but I wanted to know more about the test itself. I wanted to know if it is something I should take along with the SAT's. Hi Gloria, The ACT writes the test sections, questions, and answer choices in a very particular and consistent style. The test contains four mandatory multiple-choice sections (1) English, (2) Math, (3) Reading, and (4) Science and an optional (5) Writing section for a total of five test sections.

The sample ACT test papers are available at various locations on the web. ACT and Princeton Review are one of the few which school students prefer.

You asked a good question.


I would take them both. They would be good for you as some schools require one or the other or both. Also, talking them will help you with the process of test taking. If you do not do well in them, you can take them again. It would be good for you.
