Shivani’s Answer

As a medical technician, you will be asked to assist a medical doctor in the field of work. For example, if you choose to become an anesthesia technician you will be asked to make sure all the Operation theatre equipment is fully functional and checked, all other equipment are working and you would assist the anesthetist in giving anesthesia.

For radiology technicians, its a shift-wise job where you have to handle the X-ray / CT scan / MRI machines and equipment in addition to making sure they are completely functional at all times. You will aid in the film development process and also in patient transport. There is an associated radiation hazard if due precautions are not taken.

The great thing about this career choice is that you will have plenty of options for work schedules. Hospitals run 24 x 7 x 365 so you will be able to work different shifts. Pay is great, there is always a need for these skills regardless of location.
