What should I be doing to help my future when I get my undergraduate?

I can't help to think about the impending future which is happening in only 2 years. I want to be as secure as I can be so when I graduate I can find a career that I am interested in. What are some things that I can do to give me an advantage over other prospective employees? #college #career #degree #work #life #studies #future #undergrad

I would recommend to try to and get an internship in a field that relates to what you want to be doing. This way, you'll have a step up on someone else who doesn't have experience. Another thing that would stand out on an internship is taking initiative in something that revolves around giving back. Since employers know that you wouldn't have much experience coming out of college, having something to share on volunteer work is helpful to share and input on a resume.

Great question! I would recommend being as involved as possible, be active in school organizations, develop your leadership skills, and complete an internship. Your school's career center should be able to help you polish your resume and help you practice interviewing. Try to attend career fairs and other similar events (even when you are not actively looking for a job because it's great practice).

Tiffanie! Its great to be considering these questions. Maybe being curious, adventuresome, inspired and enlightened might offer a greater more solid foundation then being safe and secure. Exploring career/jobs that utilize your talents, interests, gifts and passions will bring more joy into your life then competing with or caring what others are doing or thinking. Being the highest expression of who you are sounds like a great intention . The best on your journey! :-)
