How can I best learn about different major options that interest me, besides taking different classes?

Which major might be a good fit for me if I am most interested in humanities or social sciences, but I want to work with people, especially kids?

I suggest job shadowing, joining campus organizations and/or talking to students and/or faculty from different majors.
