can one person change the world?

The nation is dividing, the poor doesn't have a chance to rehabilitate and start a new life, and the rich are getting greedier and only worry about themselves. Families are losing homes and more because our economy is so bad many people argue about the taxes and how much we pay, but that's because we let others speak for us and never open our mouth. I believe a person can change everything make a better economy for us since we use to be the best, we use stand for freedom, justice and liberty for all. but lately people are scared to use freedom of speech, and they blame our justice system for not doing their duties but the officers do put their life on the line, and people judging other people on what they believe. Well said. To answer your opening question, YES . A resounding yes! One person can change the world. Individuals ARE the people that impact the world. If you look at history, there are many instance of great individuals accomplishing and moving the entire world. Think of people like George Washington, Martin Luther King, Jr., or Thomas Edison. All were bold individuals, each had such an impact on the world that it was forever changed as a direct result of their contributions. More modern examples: Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Barack Obama. Your question and statements are packed with cultural, philosophic, and historic implications that we don't have time to really pull apart here. If you are interested in learning the WHY of modern culture, seek out knowledge of history and philosophy. Specifically the connection between a given Age's popular philosophy (or big ideas) of the time and see how that correlates to historical events and cultural products. To understand our culture well, you need to know how it developed in the first place.

Don't let popular culture trick you into thinking you are ineffective on your own. In America there is nothing standing in your way, despite what the cynics around every corner will tell you. Make your own miracles. It's a choice. Your success is there waiting for you. It's up to you to grab it.

Cristian, the answer to your question is unequivocally YES! One person can change the world. All of your observations are true. The world that we live in, seems to be in chaos right now. But you can make a difference. Every day you can do something to make someone else's life better. Little things, like saying hi to someone who seems down or unhappy. Volunteer for a cause that means a lot to you. Do your best in school and at home. Improving yourself and setting goals for your future will make the world a better place. Start with what you can in your own world and then branch out to see what you can do as part of a larger group with the same goals. Remember, this too shall pass. Things will get better as long as good people continue to be involved and move us forward.

What a wonderful question ! Yes, every individual alive changes this world every minute and has a purpose in lives. We are all working on cause and affect in our daily lives, for ourselves and for the lives we touch on a daily basis.
