What is the most useful science course that is offered at most universities?

Hello there! It's truly fantastic that you're looking into science courses at university. In my opinion, two highly beneficial and universally appealing courses are Anatomy and Physiology, as well as Biology. Many students absolutely love these subjects in college! If a student is leaning towards pursuing a rewarding career in healthcare or medicine, then Anatomy and Physiology would be an amazing choice. On the other hand, if they're excited about exploring the diverse world of science, Biology would be a fantastic option! The language of science: mathematics.

if you cannot read it, write it, and understand the basics, your options are limited.

Interrelated fields being basic statistics and logic.

Separating critical thinking, from magical thinking is the task.

I feel like you might not be a science major. If that’s the case, my university offered a business/lower level physics class. Where you just get the basics. I was an accounting major before I switched to chemistry. I took this class and as far as providing good general knowledge and problem solving I’d suggest this class. Honestly, after taking both of the lower level physics I wanted to change to a STEM degree.

The most useful science course you choose depends on your academic plans!

If you're in a major that's not science, you can choose any course that you want. You can pick a class that piques your interest(s), intellectually challenges you, or that provides "an easy A" (to focus on other things).

If you 𝘢𝘳𝘦 in a science major, I suggest picking classes that meets both your General Education requirements and your Major specific requirements. You can get rid of two birds with one stone.

For all courses: Check your school's academic catalogue page to see if there's prerequisites needed before registering. Also, meet with an academic advisor to select the best course for your needs.
