What can I do about my career choice ?

I’m having issue with my career choice is it has been bothering me a lot , please I really need help, I’m thinking of moving into engineering but I just need some guidance

I would think about what subjects and hobbies you excelled in during high school and what those subjects and hobbies might apply to career wise. If you are good at math and problem solving, then engineering, architect, or even photography would be a good avenue to consider and look into. These career paths all involve mathematic skills and the ability to manipulate with a good eye for artistic detail. If you’re more into scientific math, computer science or physics are another field to consider, especially if you’re into how things work with a hands on approach. And remember that the knowledge and skills you gain in mostly any field can be laterally applied if you decide to change careers. One other point to think about is your financial goals. Will the career you choose pay for the lifestyle you envision? There are plenty of resources in college including career coaches and skill tests to help map out a visual of all the traits you have and where they can take you.

Thank you for your question. I am glad to hear that you have interest in engineering. There are many streams in engineering, eg electrical & electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, manufacturing engineering, computer engineering, etc. Each has own specific knowledge domain.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Find out more on these engineering careers and determine what you have interest
2. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counselor, your parents, etc
3. Attend the information session hosts by college engineering facility
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges
