Hi Vijayakumar:

Technology is going in a direction where everyone is considered to be coders in the near future (assuming it is not already expected). I am sure your school will offer courses in computer scence. You should enroll for that.

I would recommend you build a strong foundation by building your analytical skills and logical thinking
- try and solve lots of brain teasers.

- strengthen your concepts in object oriented programming, relational data model... it helps to get your foundations strong.
- Learn flow charting and psuedocoding
this will help you to prepare yourself for any programming language.

As a high school student aspiring to study Computer Engineering, it's great that you're already thinking about additional courses to strengthen your foundation in this field. Here are some suggestions:

Programming: Understanding the basics of programming is crucial. You could consider learning languages such as Python, C++, or Java. Numerous online platforms offer courses, including Codecademy, Khan Academy, and Coursera.

Mathematics: Strengthen your skills in Mathematics, particularly in topics like Algebra, Calculus, and Discrete Mathematics, which are integral to Computer Engineering.

Physics: A solid understanding of physics, especially electricity and magnetism, is necessary for computer engineering.

Computer Science Principles: Understanding the basics of how computers work, including hardware, software, algorithms, and data structures, is important. AP Computer Science Principles is a course provided by College Board that covers these topics.

Electronics: Basic electronics courses can give you a head start. They can help you understand the principles behind the hardware components of computers.

Web Development: Although not directly related to Computer Engineering, understanding how to build a website can be a useful skill. This includes learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Certification Courses: Microsoft and Cisco offer some certification courses for high school students. For example, Cisco's Networking Academy provides a course on "Introduction to Cybersecurity" which could be useful.

Remember, understanding the concepts is more important than rushing through multiple courses. Building a strong foundation will serve you well in your future studies. It's also beneficial to work on small projects or participate in coding competitions to apply what you've learned. Good luck with your preparations!

Go for the basics, get a good teacher first because it is very important to understand the basics. once u have good base about the subject u can learn it by yourself, u can go for the online courses and once you're good enough with programming, u can earn money by freelancing it'll be really helpful for you when you're in college.
