I think the opportunity to learn is the best part about being a PA. You learn a variety of different things by doing a diverse range of tasks as a PA, and from this you takeaway many skills. Moreover, these skills are transferable to any role and also to your personal life, e.g. interpersonal skills, communication, etc. Hence, I think being a PA is great for learning and development of your own skillset.

Being a PA is a very unique experience as you work closely with the individual(s) that you support and get to tailor make your style of working according to their needs. It is very important to have both a professional and personal understanding of the people you support in order to make the relationship work. Knowing that you are helping them in their day to day activities and enabling them is massively rewarding. You need to be extremely organised and pre-empt worst case scenarios and problem solve when the unexpected happens. I love being an EA as no two days are the same and there is always challenges and variety and above all i love seeing how much my organisational skills and problem solving and suggestions/ideas create positive outcomes.
