Yes ! I did do multiple internships during college. Reached out to local businesses through the college and worked on weekends at multiple hotels and restaurants. ( this was in not in United States so I did not get paid for the weekend internships ) . Internships are the best way to explore, learn, find a mentor( if possible), find your strength, find ways to improve your areas to improve. Multiple interships would help you decide where you would love to work ( which part of the kitchen etc). Good Luck on your internship hunting. Feel free to reach out to organizations you would like to work via LinkedIn etc and to express your intent.

Create a LinkedIn profile
Visit official websites, glassdoor, LinkedIn, social media in some cases to check out potential interships which could lead to permanent employment
Talk to career development center in your college or reach out to your instructors for advice.

Yes - I had 2 internship summer terms with the same company and I ended up choosing their offer when I graduated. I highly recommend internships as a great way to "taste" both the company and role. It also gives the company a chance to try you out. Almost every profession has internship opportunities and most companies use the concept heavily as a way to acquire quality new hires.

Make sure you have a populated LinkedIn profile & completed resume (cover letter and reference pages are great too)
Look for a job on LinkedIn or Indeed
Understand that a lot of internships are found through your (and your parents') personal contacts and outreach
If you have a particular company you are interested in, then take your resume and knock on the door and ask!
