As a Nurse Anesthetist, what do you consider to be the most challenging part of your job, and why?

I plan on becoming a nurse anesthetist and have read all their is to read about being one. However, some of my resources have told me that a lot of paper work and meetings are involved. So, I thought that it would me wise of me to ask an experienced nurse anesthetic this question. By getting an answer to this question, I can then get an better understanding of things that I would need to work on to improve my career as I mature. #nurse #anesthesiologist #anesthetist #doctor #hospital-and-health-care #medicine

Thank you comment icon I am a nurse but anesthesia is not my specialty. I think it would be great if you call your local hospital and perhaps interview what a nurse anesthetist does and her role in the medical field. Most nurses like to share their experiences and I think this would be the best way to go. I hope this helps. Take care. Angela Redito Ichinose

I think the most important part is how to communicate with patients effectively, so that they can lay down their psychological burden, and they can have faith in me and tell him the most practical situation.

I work with many nurse anesthetists in surgery. They do not have to attend many meetings. They spend the vast majority of their work day in the operating room putting patients to sleep for surgery and attending to patients under anesthesia. Their paperwork is keeping medical records which is now electronic. The most difficult part of their job is dealing with emergencies and critically ill patients that need surgical procedures.
