Medical jobs are so varied no one would be able to list them all here. You can work in patient care or in an office setting. Everybody system and/or function has a practitioner who specializes in it. I am an RN who works in data science....so you can see the answer to this question is there are infinite possibilities.

There’s many specialized medicines you can look into as a provider but even if you don’t want to deal with that there’s the business side of it as well. Healthcare management or insurance is also fulfilling.

There are so many options to working in the medical field:

Nurse, Doctors, Therapists, CNA's, Dentists, Radiologists, and more. You can work in an office setting such as a clinical nurse working for an insurance company, Billing and coding and more. There are a wide array of medical field careers to choose from.

Hi Marie,
You are not alone in trying to put it all together and figure out which career path in the medical field to take. There is a very long list of medical careers you may look into. Many factors to consider when deciding on a career which requires time and financial investment. There are great careers all across the medical industry.

In my opinion, you should first look into what brings you joy and makes you happy. Ask your self questions such as would I like to work directly with patients or would I like to work in a bit more controlled environment such a microbiology job or an office doing research". That's your first big step. Then how much time do I want or am able to invest studying and attending to courses. Research into different university, college and technical schools and their requirements for different programs.

There a lot of medical jobs apart from allied health like lab tech, medical laboratory, physiotherapy, radiologist, physician assistant etc

Emergency medical tech or paramedic. I'm not sure about other states, but in Michigan you can complete either of these programs within 6 months to 1 year.
