Is it possible for you to graduate from college early if you are a nursing or science major?

Yes is the answer to both of those questions. You can take classes in high school (if available) that are college courses. This is called dual-enrollment and it will get most of the prerequisite classes done while you are in high school. Along with dual-enrollment, you can take AP classes and if you receive a 4 or above, this can count as a college course. So ultimately, you can bypass a lot of the classes you would be taking in the first two years of undergraduate.
At my alma mater, University of Alabama at Birmingham, you could go through early acceptance into Nursing school straight from high school if you have a high ACT/SAT score and a high GPA. If you paint this with the information above, this would allow you to breeze through the remaining few prerequisite classes you may have and begin Nursing school soon after. I am not sure if this is an option at all institutes, but it is definitely something you can look into!

Hi Zemira! From my personal experience I was a Psychology major and I completed college in 3 and 1/2 semesters, so one semester early. It really matters about credits and completing work on time. I agree with the previous answers, taking extra courses during summer and AP classes can definitely help you advance. However, just remember to not rush as well; for example if a student wants to take the MCAT it isn't favorable by admission committees to see that they may have taken many courses during the summer where it is a more constrained amount of time and may not be as in depth as a longer semester. I do agree with AP classes however and if you do need to take courses to do so at a community college because both paths can help you save money in the long run.

I do not know about Nursing program early graduation. But I can answer from science major perspective.
Yes - indeed possible to graduate early in Science Major. I am proud to say daughter is graduating in 5 semesters, instead of 8 with a BS with Bio Major! I also know someone who finished BS in 2.5 years and one in 3 years!
It is possible.
Here is how you do it:
1. If you have AP classes in your high school, you can most likely transfer those credits to the college. Check with your targeted college to see if they accept them towards graduation and how many they do. This should reduce your total credits needed in graduation.
2. Take some extra courses during each semester while in college.
3. Take some courses at a community college during high school and also during summer time during college years. Make sure your college agrees to transfer the credits and uses it towards graduation requirements before you do that.
Check with the college and work with the advisor at the college!
