If I attend college in America, if I transfer to another country such as UK, will there be any obstacles as to catching up on the education material or worries as to being left behind due to difference in location?

I would like to know if educational material and aspect is the same or similar abroad as to home because I will attend college here in America in the fall but would like to go abroad and transfer to London around the next two years. I would like to know will it be difficult and is it recommended. #college #education #obstacles

In my experience the undergraduate (=College) education in the US is broader in topics and less deep than in the UK.
personally I think that's a good thing, for a more rounded education, however you need to be aware of the jump in expectations when moving from US to UK.
If you're smart and hardworking there will not be any issues, since most places tend to rate your ability to learn as much as what you know.
When the time comes I'd advise taking time to check over the syllabus and flip through a couple of the course books from a library just to get a feel for any differences. It would take a little time, but as my boss says: preparation is 80% of success!

There are a great deal of colleges that have a study abroad program. If you attend one of those colleges, check with that particular office. They can provide you with a lot of great tips on what to expect. If not, check the school's admissions office that you plan to attend and ask if they have any students from the US who they can ask to reach out to you.
