Basic Navy training for enlisted recruits is located at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center(Chicago,IL)

The Navy's basic training for enlisted personnel is located north of Chicago, IL at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center (technically in Waukegan, IL). After that, your follow on training will depend on what rate you selected.
