Affordability is subjective. It depends upon the major and the university. You can look into enrolling at a local community college for the first 2 years of college and transferring into a state university once you're a junior, which is what I did for undergrad. There are also certain high schools that will allow you to take community college courses in tandem with your current high school courses so you're able to graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma an Associates degree. Scholarships are helpful. Look into local non profit organizations that offer funding for college students;

It depends on a few factors! Usually tuition for students who live in the same state as the colleges they apply to is cheaper. That's why you may hear about In-State vs. Out-of-State Tuition. So, if you're concerned about college costs, it's worth starting your college search in the state in which you live. Another option is to go to community college for two years and transfer to another school for your junior and senior year of college. Also, if you have the option to live with your parents or other family members while commuting to classes that can save you a lot of money in housing costs. Finally, I was able to graduate early from college, which saved me a whole semester of tuition and other costs. I did this by taking some college-level courses in high school and taking some additional classes in my earlier semesters of college.
