How to spend second-year university summer?

I am finance student in business school. If I find a unpaid job in non-for-profit organization as vp finance, is it helping me in future? #finance #volunteering

Brian’s Answer

Hi:

A degree is always an important first step as it shows an employer that once you start something you are a go getter that completes the job. However, experience is huge and do as many internships as you can. This will not only help you to get experience but it will ensure it is field you like and want to get into.

I would also suggest if you are still in college to get involved in as many groups as you can. Anything that can add value to your resume and help you stand out will be great. It will show your team player and motivated. Good luck!

Travis’s Answer

If you can financially make that work then it would be fantastic. While a degree these days is a must for you career path, experience is a very close second. This will give you hands on real world experience. You learn the book items in college but there is only one way to learn the career. Real world experience.
