Likelihood of getting hired as a front end developer?

I'm a junior in high school learning web development. I really enjoy designing websites and I want to focus on the front-end. Is the salary and likelihood of getting hired lower for a front-end developer or a back-end and full stack developer?

Since you have already mentioned that you are passionate about designing websites and working on the front-end, there is definitely a scope for you to get a good job as a front-end developer. Both front-end and back-end developer jobs are available in quite good numbers, therefore the likelihood of getting any of them is good. You must ensure that you enroll in good and relevant courses that allow you to hone your skills in the required field and there you go! No one can stop you then!

For likelihood of being hired - they should be similar, demand for all three areas is pretty high.
If you want to focus on frontend - just go that way, important part - that you enjoy what you do

You will get to choose where you want to work depends upon how well you do to secure Undergraduate degree in the Computer Sc.
California state univ can open the door for since you reside in CA.
Focus on the courses that you want to pursue and major in the field of your passion.
If you have done well with high GPA and have taken relevant courses - you will have no difficulties at all.

Yes, Front End development has much job opportunities. You have to required skills related Javascript, HTML, CSS, etc
