How did you decide your career path?

As a 11th grade junior, it’s difficult to decide what to do when you decide to get a career in something especially when you don’t plan on going to college.

I recommend you google different types of jobs and careers based on what you think you like. I also recommend joining high school clubs and get more involved so that you can explore different paths. Last but not least, network with people from different areas and ask about their careers. Last case, you can start with one path and if a more interesting one comes around, you can always switch.

It actually found me. I had my art backgound, but it came upon my career when I got a job in a bakery being a cashier.
I watched the decorator and he told me to practice writing, then he showed me how to make a rose with icing and whipped cream, from there I got another job working as a decorator but I picked up on piping, lay-ins, and airbrushing. Then came a bit of sculpturing and it just grew from there.30 + years later, I'm mainly designing and writing.
