What are some volunteer/internships in Dallas for high school students who want to study in the medical field?

I have realized that having medical school opportunities will help you stand out and benefit you in the long run. I have heard about the STARS program but I believe it is too late to apply for that program.

Deborah D.’s Answer

Become a hospital volunteer.
Being a hospital volunteer is very rewarding, but it's also a lot of hard work.
For most hospitals, you'll be expected to commit to volunteering for at least 50 hours per year. Shifts are typically 4 hours (though this may vary by hospital). Expect to work once every other week (though, again, this may vary by hospital).

Here are some excellent sources for you to check out.

Hi Leslie,

Volunteer Match is a good resource to find volunteer opportunities in your area and the nice thing is that the opportunities are categorized. You will find a Health and Medicine section in addition to other areas.

Hope that helps.

Thanks
