Hi Mike,
College is a great experience both socially and academically. Take the time to get to know your classmates, the city your school is in, and explore you academic options by taking a range of different types of classes. Knowing your learning style is important when picking the right school or class for you - some schools are huge and have a wide range of majors available while other schools are smaller and may have a more focused collection of degrees offered. Classes also come in many different formats - some are large lecture halls with 100+ students where the professor lectures and there is little interaction from students, some can be large classrooms with some interaction between professor/students, some can be smaller discussion based classes, vocational classes, lab classes etc. Knowing the best environment for yourself both socially and academically will help you pick the best place for you.
