When entering into the medical field, is it better to major in nursing or biology?
Throughout most of my life, I always wanted to become a pediatrician. I love helping others and making a difference. Whether it be an accomplishment or a tough obstacle , everything you do in life reflects upon your character. I am kind , loving, and nurturing, which makes me gravitate more towards nursing. I also love biology, I have been fascinated with the subject since my freshman year of high school. #bio #biology #nursing #registered-nursing

Hi Orleisha!
Great to hear you are considering becoming a nurse! Here are some threads I picked out for you about studying nursing that can help you decide if that's what you would like to study vs biology:

With a nursing degree, you could work as a nurse at a pediatrician's office. Nursing is not a typical path to becoming a doctor.
For those who are planning to go to medical school, and be something like a pediatrician, Biology is a fairly common major.
I recommend you first decide if you'd rather be a nurse or a doctor. If you'd rather be a nurse, major in nursing. If you'd rather be a doctor, major in Biology or something similar. If the decision between nurse and doctor isn't clear, you should look more into the differences in required education, responsibilities, and salary.
