When Stephanie opened the letter from her dream college, her heart sank. Rejected. It wasn\u2019t the only one. One after another, the \u201cno\u2019s\u201d piled up, leaving her confidence shattered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unsure of what came next, Stephanie turned to a place she remembered from her AP Computer Science class assignment: CareerVillage.org<\/strong><\/a>. She had posted a few questions there before, but now she needed something deeper\u2014guidance, empathy, and perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What she found was a community of professionals ready to rally around her. They shared words of encouragement, reminded her that rejection wasn\u2019t the end of her story, and offered practical advice for moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt the time, I didn\u2019t\/couldn\u2019t believe them,\u201d Stephanie admitted. \u201cBut occasionally, I\u2019ll read the answers I got whenever I [feel] down. As a junior in university, I can say that the answers have helped me feel better about where I am in life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those answers became a touchstone. Stephanie carried them with her into college, returning to CareerVillage.org whenever she needed clarity or reassurance. Along the way, she asked new questions\u2014about interviews, about exploring her interests, about building her confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She took action on the advice she received: joining robotics and criminal justice clubs, preparing for interviews with new strategies, and even considering a future in academia, possibly as a math teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In December 2024, Stephanie was awarded a CareerVillage.org scholarship to help her continue her education\u2014another milestone on a path that once felt uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked why she still turns to CareerVillage.org, Stephanie put it simply: she values its \u201crealness\u201d<\/em> and the way advice is tailored to her exact situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
