I want to graduate from medical school and become a radiologist. Specifically, I would love to work with ultrasound, but things like MRI and x-rays interest me as well.

Context: I've heard that you're not required to major in biology or chemistry to apply to medical school. I do love the sciences, but I would love to take the opportunity to get myself a well-rounded education too. I'm thinking about some majors right now. I wish to study French or maybe math, alongside pre-med classes. I'm not really sure what medical schools are looking for extracurricular-wise, so I need some help planning that. Some job shadowing and volunteering at a hospital would be amazing experiences. I want to become a radiologist because I think it's a way for me to make a positive difference in the world. I've been studying in school my entire life, which is great, but there's no point unless I use my hard-earned skills to change my community for the better. Medicine is an incredible way to accomplish just that.
College: I'll likely be a French or math major.
Other Education: medical school, residency, fellowship
Activities: I'm unsure about this one.
Job Experience: I haven’t had any yet.
Soft Skills: I love talking to people and working as a team!
Hard Skills: I'm bilingual and currently learning a third language, which is French. I'm also good at science and math.

I want to be a biomedical researcher, specifically in the immuno-genetics field. I would prefer to be in California, because the Silicon Valley technology industry cooperates with medical research often. I would like to work at any major research company.

Context: Since middle school, I've developed a passion for science, specifically biology. I didn't know what field I wanted to go into as a career option until my dad told me about the boom of biomedical research and how important it is. I quickly became interested in the subject and researched specific fields, and I came across immuno-genetics, which interests me.
College: I am considering to go to a Univerisity of California branch, USC, or a different university that emphasizes scientific research. For my desired career, I would like to major in either biomedical science, because that specifically relates to the field of research I want to go into, or biochemistry, because that field also correlates to biomedicine and how we can use those discoveries to promote research.
Other Education: I am almost completely sure that I will go to graduate school to earn a master's degree in immunogenetics.
Activities: I am planning to apply for internships for high schoolers and universities near my home, as well as biomedical research companies. Once I turn 16, I will also be eligible to apply for summer biology programs, which I am interested in in order to learn more about my subject.
Job Experience: As I mentioned above, I am going to apply for an internship at several companies or university labs. I will get there by researching grad students or professors at local colleges who specialize in biomedical research, specifically immunogenetics, and research companies that accept high school interns.
Soft Skills: I believe that being proficient at writing is important for my career, because as a researcher, I will be publishing lots of lab reports on my findings. In addition, responsibility, diligence, patience, and carefulness are all critical to running experiments in the lab smoothly.
Hard Skills: I think that a hard skill to learn for a researcher's career is being able to expertly run experiments without harming or endangering anyone involved.

I'm not quite sure at the moment. Either I'd be some kind of computer scientist/software engineer, a bioinformatician, or a pathologist. I know I want to be somewhere on that spectrum between computer software and biology, but I'm not sure where it is I want to be. I hope to figure out whether I want to pursue medicine before I have to study for the MCAT, otherwise I'll be studying and taking a 7 hour test for no reason and that's just no fun.

I'll be attending Brown University this fall, most likely as a Computer Science concentrator. I've already had an internship for three years learning anatomy and how to perform autopsies, so I will likely try to get a computer science related internship (possibly @Symantec, where I've received an offer kind of?). I might even take a gap year to pursue this internship, but I'm not quite sure yet. After that, I want to try and get some kind of research experience to see if the sexual harassment is as prevalent as I've heard, and to experience the life of a researcher slash bioinformatician. And after that, if I still can't decide what I want to do with my life, I will invest in a dartboard and pursue whatever my dart lands on.

Job Experience: As mentioned above I have worked two jobs all throughout my school year and in addition to working while at school I also have started my own business of teaching private swim lessons throughout the Summers in order to raise money for school. This business has been extremely successful for me and such a joy every Summer. I am very proud that I was able to build this business from the ground up by myself and that it has grown so much to the point where I am turning people away every Summer because my schedule is so full.

I want to be working in the computer science industry preferably in the Los Angeles area or the Bay Area (San Francisco) as a secondary choice in location. However, I am also interested in business management. A nice mix of the two, in something such as business analysis would be nice.

Context: Growing up, I always saw my dad working (he was a website developer) and I just thought it was the coolest thing. Around the 5th grade, I started building my own computer. Now, I'm just really interested in working on cool software that makes amazing programs people enjoy.
College: My dream college is UCLA. However, I'm also interested in USC and Pepperdine. I've been into UCLA mostly because it was the golden standard growing up in LA. I do acknowledge it's computer science and business programs may not be #1 but financially it is a good fit for me as well. For USC, they have a good research program that lets you work on current programs that lets you have real experience in the computer science field. Also, they have a good recruitment opportunity, with big companies often giving internship opportunities. For Pepperdine, they have a really good business program (my Uncle went there) that I'm interested in.
Other Education: I plan on getting a Masters degree.
Activities: I've currently been a part of the United States Academic Decathlon program at John Marshall High School. The amount of work required for just making the team let alone competing has given me a good sense of what the college workload is like.
Job Experience: The only previous experience I've had have been volunteering mostly with kids and one other where I did a lot of data entry. I'm hoping to get an internship directly related to my field sometime during the summer (2017) before I start college.
Soft Skills: Some soft skills I have are time management, good relations, leadership, and willingness to learn. I manage time well, planning the day out with Google calendar and just in general, being motivated to get my work done. I'd say I have good relations, as I have been able to work in the past with people who have been "unworkable." I am able to lead any group of individuals as I am not afraid to be the one that steps on other people's toes to get them in line. Finally, my willingness to learn has been evident especially in the past year as I have been unafraid to rely on my peers and ask for help on topics they have been working on for quite some time while I have been only recently exposed to the topic.
Hard Skills: I am fluent in Korean, have basic computer skills, and know basic micro and macro economics.
Other: N/A

I want to be a child and adolescent therapist in Texas at anywhere that pays well and will hire me.

Context: I am currently a high school senior who desires to help others develop into the person they either want to be or can function as. My little sister is my drive into this career, I want to be able to understand what she thinks when she does acts that seem clearly inappropriate to me.
College: There are three main colleges I am applying to: Tarleton State University, Sam Houston University, and Texas Tech University. I am interested in these schools because they are close to home and are, for the most part, reasonably affordable.
Other Education: I do not know what other education i would need.
Activities: N/A
Job Experience: The only job I have is as a part-time sales associate at Michaels Craft store.
Soft Skills: I am decent at writing, despite my dyslexia, negotiation and time management are both skills I have as well. Being able to remain calm in tense situations is something I have gained thanks to being a retail worker.
Hard Skills: Admittedly my foreign language skills are not polished but they do exist, unfortunately I have not had much need to practice them. I am able to manage solid B's in my college level math and science class, for whatever that is worth.
Other: I take any opportunity to talk to professionals about their careers that match mine when ever I get the chance; so I am always willing to listen when feedback is offered to me.

My career goal is a PsyD, I would like to either establish my own practice for General Clinical Therapy, or work in a Mental Institution consulting treatment options for personality disorders.

Context: I am currently enrolled in Our Lady Lake University to receive my BSW in Social Work, upon which I would like to pursue to a MSW and then a PsyD afterwards. Stepping stones as I will be needing student loans and plan to use my Bahelors license to apply field work revenue, to my Masters, and Masters Revenue to my PsyD
College: I am currently enrolled in Our Lady Lake Catholic University after receiving my Associates of Social Work from Alamo community Colleges. I have maintained a 3.7GPA and have recommendations to an advanced program if granted the opportunity from 3 psychology professors.
Other Education: The graduate programs for my MSW and PsyD are available at the current University I am attending.
Activities: I plan to do some studying abroad if given the opportunity, I would like to study psychology in England for purposes of the EPA, and I am currently part of the Psychology Club at the University and hope to gain acceptance into the advanced Clinical Psychology Program.
Job Experience: I have been fortunate in my employment opportunities, and have gained several years of customer service, finance management, organization, and utilization skills. I have retail experience, clerical experience, assembly-line, and stocking experience. I worked temporarily under 2 work study programs with the college; one position in Admission and Records and tutoring later in the year, the other in a NASA education center as a Mission Control Specialist for their Challenger Missions.
Soft Skills: I am skilled in writing, APA research, negotiations and mediations. Academics are my strong suit, and the ability to understand the human psyche gives me the necessary insight to provide adequate customer satisfaction.
Hard Skills: I am fluent in Irish Gaelic but it's not a bilingual benefit as it's not commonly spoken outside of Ireland, however it is Latin based which gives me some basic insight to translating Latin based languages, more easily partaining to Spanish and Italian. I can type an average of 127 words per minute, and I have time-efficient reading skills. I'm constantly filling my time with the Newspaper, or other areas of research and have been considered to be an academic asset.
Other: the job I was recently employed in has informed me seasonal services are no longer needed, and my full-time employer was a work study position that has ended due to my graduation. I am in current need of employment and with student loan payments this compromising position of needing a job was not foreseen in my long term plans
