What is the most challenging aspect of entering the welding profession What is the most rewarding part of working in the welding field??
I am a senior in high school, and although I am interested in several things, currently, I am interested in pursuing a career in welding.

The most rewarding aspect is when you finish a challenging project and build confidence that will help you achieve and forward your career. Get as much practice and experience as possible and make sure you stay motivated and focused

It is easy to get into welding in a shop somewhere with some training and some shown proficiency IE: Pre-Employment testing. Time and interest will decide everything else. But, welding as a profession will pay best and give you more options with Diversity of skill IE: Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux-Core. Proficiency in various material Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum. The more diverse your skillset the greater your chances of success in the industry.
On the other hand, Welding is an integral part of many VERY good paying trades. All the way from Erection to HVAC and everything in between. My opinion is this is the hardest part of getting into the profession is realizing what part of the profession suits you best.
The most rewarding part of being a welder is the pride and satisfaction of a well completed project. Not to mention the freedom to choose where you work and how much compensation you will receive.
