How do I best prepare myself for after graduation, for when I have to go out and be a "real adult"?
I am currently a Junior Special Education major at Texas A&M and the end of my college career is quickly approaching and I feel wholly unprepared! I am excited about the next step, but it feels so daunting and it feels like I am about to be thrown in with the sharks.

Be mentally prepared to admit and correct your mistakes frequently.
Be willing to learn and don't hesitate to ask - One who asks a question is a fool for a while, one who doesn't, is a fool forever. Also, no question is a stupid question.
Don't stop learning, its a lifelong process. Completing college doesn't mean you know it all. And continued learning is necessary for career development.
Don't hesitate to experiment. There are people with completely different educational and professional domains.
Try to maintain a balance between work and fun/entertainment. Don't overdo either.
Few people are lucky enough to find a job that they enjoy. At the end of the day, you have to make a living. You'll need to figure it for yourself the balance between enjoying and earning.

Be willing to learn and be open to changing your mind when faced with situations that challenge your assumptions. That’s not to say that you have to change your beliefs or practices when someone disagrees with you; rather, be willing to criticize your own beliefs to see whether they hold up to new experiences.
Work hard and be proud of the effort you put in, but be patient with yourself and give yourself grace to rest and not achieve perfection. Ask for help when you need it - people are generally happy to assist in their areas of expertise.
