Angus’s Answer

Hi Geoffrey,

You can be whatever you want. You are young and have lots of time to figure out what jobs suit you best.

Take the time to really think about where your skills lie, and what jobs suit your work-style.

From your interests you could explore jobs in Video Game Development (technology heavy, coding etc.), ski instructor (perks, travel the world and work at different resorts), or car mechanic.

Again, you have plenty of time to figure out what you'd like to do. I'd advise trying as many jobs and industries as possible to see what you like and don't like.

I hope this helps.
All the best,
Angus

Hey Geoffroy!

Good questions! You’ve got a cool mix of skills—video games, skiing, and mechanics—so there are lots of fun career paths you could explore! Here are some ideas based on what you love:

1. Video Game-Related Careers
Game Developer – If you like coding, you could create your own video games!
Game Tester (QA Tester) – Play games and find bugs before they’re released.
Esports Player/Coach – If you're really good at games, you could go pro or help others improve.
Game Designer – Plan levels, characters, and how games work.

2. Ski-Related Careers
Ski Instructor – Teach people how to ski!
Ski Resort Mechanic – Maintain ski lifts and equipment.
Avalanche Technician – Help keep ski areas safe from avalanches.
Winter Sports Photographer/Videographer – Capture awesome ski action!

3. Mechanics-Related Careers
Automotive Mechanic – Fix cars and motorcycles.
Aircraft Mechanic – Work on airplanes and helicopters.
Robotics Engineer – Build cool machines and robots.
Motorsports Mechanic – Work on race cars, dirt bikes, or snowmobiles.

4. A Mix of All Three?
Game Developer for Racing/Skiing Games – Combine gaming and mechanics to make realistic racing or ski games.
Sports Technology Engineer – Design better skis, gaming gear, or sports equipment.
Mechanical Engineer for Extreme Sports – Work on ski lifts, snowmobiles, or racing vehicles.

Since you're in 6th grade, you’ve got plenty of time to explore! Try learning basic coding (for game dev), practicing mechanics (with bikes or RC cars), and skiing more to see what excites you most.

Best wishes!

Dr’s Answer

Alright, Geoffroy, future legend.

Option 1: Video Game Wizard ( Game Developer, Designer, or Tester)
If you love playing games, imagine making them!
You’ll need coding skills (Python, C++, Unity, Unreal Engine—sounds fancy, but you got this).
Game testers play games all day (but also find bugs, so prepare to break things on purpose).
If you get good at esports, you could go pro and get paid to game—tell your parents it’s "career research." so basically means you cna also do gaming just to earn.

Option 2: Skiing Superstar (like Instructor, Resort Engineer, or Avalanche Expert)
If you love skiing, why not get paid to do it right? So you can,
Teach beginners (just don’t laugh when they fall… too much). You don't have to be. Apro but enough to teach and then grow that into becoming. A Profesional.
Work on ski lifts and snow machines (mechanics + skiing = dream job).
Become an avalanche expert—aka "the person who saves lives with explosions." Pretty cool, huh?

Option 3: Mechanic Extraordinaire (you can be Car, Bike, or Robot Genius)
So, Love fixing stuff? Be the hero when things break, like my bike sure breaks a lot ! 😏
Car, motorcycle, airplane, or even robot mechanic—the world runs on machines!
Work for Formula 1 or build real-life battle bots (because who doesn’t love robots smashing each other?). Your choice which you want.

Option 4: The Ultimate Combo Job (so theee The Dream Job You Invent)
Make a ski racing video game (game dev + skiing). I bet you can give pretty cool ideas.
Design better ski gear using mechanics (mechanic + skiing). So you could give this a shot too.
Build a racing simulator (mechanic + video games). Racing is popular so are games and if you have ideas you can just toss them in one.
Fix snowmobiles for a ski resort while live-streaming your esports career—because why not do it all? You can even give streams on fixing the ski resort, hmm, wondering!

GEOFFROY, Try EVERYTHING—you’re in 6th grade, plenty of time to figure it out. So start exploring and trying them out see what you got burning for.
Learn some coding, tinker with machines, and keep skiing.
If anyone tells you, “That’s not a real job,” just remind them that people make millions playing Fortnite.
You’ve got options, Geoffroy. Pick one, mix ‘em up, or make your own. Whatever you do, make it awesome! Good luck and all the best if you need a tester or just advice I am a click clock a way! 😉😎
