I start college in the fall and I'm going to college at a school with seven week long semesters but I have a really bad habit of procrastinating on a lot of my assignments which causes me to stress out over everything at the last minute. What are some things I can try to help me break this habit Also what are some good study habits I can develop that will help me succeed in college?
I plan to major in computer science and will have to take a lot of calculus heavy courses so math class specific study tips would also be appreciated.

I'm a procrastinator too, but I've discovered a trick that really helps. I set a date in my calendar a few days before the actual deadline, and that's when I aim to finish the task. For example, if something is due on Thursday the 15th, I plan to have it done by Monday the 12th. I hope this tip helps you a bit. Remember, working under pressure can sometimes bring out your best, so it’s not all bad! :) Good luck!

Hi Emma!
I used to have procrastination issues in college as well, so let me share some tips that helped me a lot, and I hope they will help you too!!
1. Try to break your tasks into smaller pieces, like manageable steps, for example, if you need need to write a paper, break into little tasks like "write the introduction", "draft the body", "revise".
2. Use a calendar or planner to map out all your assignments and try to create mini-deadlines for yourself.
3. Establish a routine where you dedicate specific blocks of time for studying each day.
4. When studying, create a distraction-free environment. This might mean turning off your phone, using apps that block distracting websites, or studying in a quiet location.
And for me the most important tip it's to take care of yourself, try to have mental clarity and energy from taking care of your mental health, try to sleep & eat well, exercising, these habits keep you focused & reduce stress. :)
I hope this helps a lot and good luck :D
