How do I apply for more scholarships and loans for college?

This is a great question! Speaking as a mother whose children attended college for free with scholarships, here is my advice:
1. Search for scholarship websites in fields that interest you.
2. Ask your school guidance counselor and teachers for a list of scholarships.
3. Usually, colleges have scholarships listed on their webpages but may be hard to find. Thoroughly search the academics and financial aid pages and if you don't find anything, call the school to ask for special or institutional scholarships.
4. Leverage local social groups like fraternities, sororities, women's and men's groups, groups that interest you, church, places of worship, sports teams, etc.
5. Start early! Be patient! Apply to as many scholarships as you can.
6. Go for small $ amounts and large $ amounts as they all add up.
