Hello Kiara,
Thank you for reaching out with such an important question. It's inspiring to see your determination, especially when times are tough, and you're balancing education with financial challenges. I admire your intelligence and resourcefulness, and I want to reassure you that we are doing our best to find financial support for you.
I'm truly grateful to those who are providing financial help. If it's not enough, don't worry. There are other options available. You can look into getting more assistance from the school, like applying for a student assistantship, which offers pay for work done within the institution. This can help boost your finances.
If needed, you can also explore scholarships offered by the government for deserving students. And should you need more, a part-time job could be another way to support your education.
Stay determined, Kiara. Use all the resources available, and trust in your abilities and hard work. With dedication, effort, and a positive mindset, you will reach your academic goals. You can do this!

Hi Kiarra,
Some other options you could look into are requesting an aid adjustment if there were any errors in submitting you FASFA or requesting additional student loans such as a Direct Plus Loan for Parents. You can apply to work for a Federal Work Study job either on campus or for a non-profit if your school participates. Ask about payment plans for the remaining balance (I know this may not help a lot but it can at least spread out how much you owe instead of paying one lump sum). I know you stated you have applied for scholarships but here are some other places you could search for scholarships just in case; community & religious organizations, local business, community foundations, your employer or your parents/ families employer, high school counselor office, https://www.careeronestop.org/toolkit/training/find-scholarships.aspx allows you to search based on state, degree, etc.
