If and when you acquired your “dream” job after graduation, what would be your first words of advice to future college students looking to secure a degree to find stability and good pay with a job in their field? #spring25

If I did find my perfect job in my field of Medical Billing & Coding after graduation, the first advice or personal experience I would give anyone else considering a college career would be:
It is never too late. I am 36 years old. If you ask yourself, Is it worth it?
The answer is Yes. I have made it out of several “close call” relationships with abusive partners. I want to say, fight for what you want, even if you're not sure of yourself. If I am doing this, and anyone can. Furthermore, I know it may sound so generic, but in all truth, all I have ever wanted was a happy, secure life, and within the last 15 years or so, I have learned there is no happy or secure life without financial security.

I suggest joining internship programs or asking to shadow professionals to get a real feel for what a typical day is like in a specific field. This can boost your confidence as you figure out your ideal career path. When you land your dream job, connect with your coworkers, ask questions, stay humble, and try to understand what your boss might need. Learn how the business operates, see how your role helps the company grow, share fresh ideas, and put in your best effort. Remember, first impressions matter a lot.
