I would get your food handlers which you should be able to do online. It is great that you are waning to go out and get into the work force. Just keep trying and apply everywhere you can. If you go in person, be clean and dressed neat. Smile and look the person hiring in the eyes.

Hi Francisco,

Begin by creating a resume that includes everything you've done, even from high school, like volunteering. This will show your teamwork skills and motivation to find a job.

Once your resume is ready, start applying both online and in person. Don't forget to check LinkedIn for job openings too. You can do this!

Riya’s Answer

Hello I would recommend start early and begin applying to jobs as soon as you can before summer begins. I would advise looking at places around you and searching their websites for potential job opportunities. It also helps to have volunteer experience or to showcase any projects that you have worked on. This can be shown through a short resume, which is professional and gives the employers a little background about you.

Hi Francisco! I'm glad you're looking for summer employment in the food industry - it's definitely a busy time and a great way to get some experience in this field.
It's truly easy to shine when looking for a job these days by following a few simple rules that make you stand apart from the crowd:
Focus on your work ethic and what you're willing to learn from the position - employers are looking for people who work hard and are trainable without pushback. We've all had too many applicants who think they know everything or are unwilling to work the needed shifts.
When you go in for the interview, be a professional: don't be late, dress well, be respectful, look people in the eye, and shake hands. Show them you're a hardworking professional that will bring value and professionalism to the organization.
Attention to detail: If you see a piece of trash on the floor, take it upon yourself to pick it up. Show pride in your attention to detail and maintain that attention to detail in everything you do.
Thank the potential employer for meeting with you before you leave. After you get home, send a follow-up thank-you email (or even better, a handwritten note). This simple act of polite etiquette has been largely lost but makes a big impression.
Remember you have something to learn everywhere you go. Always look for "the nugget" of value wherever you work and do your best to leave people better than you found them. You'll be invaluable in no time.

Lirio’s Answer

Hi Francisco, If you want to get a summer job in retail or fast food, the best thing to do is start early and apply as soon as places begin hiring. Make a short, simple resume that includes school activities, volunteer work, or anything that shows you're responsible. When you go to apply or talk to a manager, dress neatly and be polite, it helps make a good first impression. After you apply, check back in a few days to show you're interested. You can also ask your family, friends, or teachers if they know of any places that are hiring. Being friendly, on time, and willing to learn will really help you stand out.

Hello Francisco , your plans in getting a job this summer is a good one. I advise you start applying for fastfood jobs if you already have experience in any position. If you are applying for the first time, I will advise you apply for the position of a kitchen assistant or waitress, these positions will help you to learn and gain profitable experience that will help you personally and professionally.
