Hi Candice,
Getting into modeling doesn't always mean you need catwalk experience. Many agencies find new talent in different ways. Start by checking out reputable modeling agencies nearby. Look at their websites to see what they need from new models. Some may want online portfolios, while others might prefer you to visit in person.
Put together a strong portfolio with clear headshots and full-body photos. You don't need professional photos right away, as agencies often help new talents. You can send your portfolio through their official channels or go to open calls if they have them. Also, think about using social media to grow a following, as many agencies look for talent on platforms like Instagram.
Consider other types of modeling too, like commercial or print work, or even influencer partnerships, which might have different requirements from high-fashion modeling. Be careful of scams—real agencies usually don't ask for big upfront fees and can be checked through industry databases.

Hi Candice, there are a variety of ways to enter modeling and you do not need to invest thousands of dollars to build a portfolio. Research the local agencies around you to understand what photos you need to submit initially. You should not be asked to invest any money of your own. Typically, they sign you and send you to "go sees" which are auditions. As you gain experience, you can learn cat walks, etc. Good luck and keep pushing for your dreams!
