How can I further advance my knowledge in agriculture?

I agree with Kennimarie's answer contacting the local farmers is one way of gaining knowledge and another way is learning the way to farm.

+Knowing more about the cultivation of crops based on season and based on soil.

+Lot of institutions is to teach about farming. The best way is to learn from farmers.

I think that contacting local farms and finding  out if you can volunteer or intern this year would be a great way to get hands on experience prior to beginning a formal education in agriculture.
