With Math, go back to basics. I often find students trying to solve something complex and hurrying to get to an answer. Starting with the basics and asking what are we trying to solve for, what method are we employing to get there and why, and breaking the problem into logical sequential steps is the right approach.

I think you need someone to explain it well for you. Math is logical and if you know and understand the rules you should be OK. Practice is important too.
