Hi there. Not sure if your question is about financial benefits. But if you leave aside the financial rewards of being a carpenter, here are some of the other benefits you can get out of carpentary :

1. Skills on visualizing 2 D objects into 3 D objects
2. Object Design skills
3. Creative skills (in making all kinds of objects using various carpentary techniques and materials)
4. You can develop niche skills within carpentary such as building high quality wooden toys for babies and young children, wooden kitchenware, wood sculptures etc


Not to mention the benefit of making your own customized wood work for your home and loved ones.
