Nikki’s Answer

Hey! There is actually a major called Turf Grass Management, My friend does it at Uconn and he is incharge of facilities maintenance at Uconn and from this major he can work at golf courses and country clubs, There are actually great perks. He gets to live in the facilities house ( for free) on the golf property and paid upwards of $50k annually plus overtime in his first year as assistant superintendent. A great way to decide if this is for you is to take plant and bio classes in highschool.
Good luck!

Tom’s Answer

Yes working outdoors in the right climate is a great way to earn a living. Farming is an honest living but lots of hard work. Routine is key and early starts but extremely rewarding. Working with animals and seeing the newborns and caring for them is wonderful. I would recommend Summer work on a farm, that is the best way for you to decide if this is something that would interest you in the long term.
