Hi ,

The minimum education that is required to qualify to be an IAS Officer is to have a graduate degree and its also possible if you are in the final year of your degree program . Then you have to clear the UPSC Civil Services Exam which consists of three stages – Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Jerin

That's a great thought..! To begin with, you should answer these simple questions, i.e why do you want to become an IAS officer, What you will do after you become an IAS officer and so on and so forth.

You should start reading newspapers and understand & analyse what's happening around.
Just go to UPSC website and look for New syllabus and memorize it to the core.
Answer one more question: whether you can do it.? if yes, sacrifice just minimum 2 years of your life.
Then think about joining good coaching classes, so that they can guide you in a right path. Note that only coaching will not make an IAS officer. Your passion, dedication, discipline drives you more towards your goal than mere classes.
Once you join coaching classes, make a time table and strictly follow it.
If you are done with syllabus, start doing previous years question papers.
Keep on co-relating everything you see, you do, you talk to UPSC syllabus.
You should be in such a good shape that you should be ready to crack interview not just passing prelims and Mains.

Always have a plan B, if you fail at any moment you can fallback to the other option. But, having said that 'never give up' 'never lose hope'.

All the best..!
