I just got denied admission into my first choice college in the US, could it be because of the present Coronavirus crisis? Because I have a feeling that international students may not be accepted this fall.
100% of 4 Pros
First, the current covid 19 crisis will end at some point. Second, as countries return no normal operations, I suspect travel restrictions will be lifted. Everyone at this moment is acting reactively as oppose to proactively. This is unfortunately uncharted waters for many. You may contact the university to see if there were any additional requirements you may have not met or is this a case of restrictions on accepting international students at this time. I hope this helps & good luck!
I wouldn't say it is because of the medical problem crisis going on in the US that you are denied, they will normally delay your starting school semester if you are admitted to the school. I work with a lot of International University and University in the US who admit International student on a year to year base, They have quota and some from a case to case they look through all your international document to see if they can accept you not because they think you are not capable but on the school when they do the international student paperwork with USCIS of admitting you here for school and education. Plus, they have deadline and also need you to re-submit paperwork and if you miss the deadline or require time the school has the right to denied your admission.
Its all about timing. Dont be discouraged. This will past and the process though may seen halted at this point, will return to normal activity.
