Janna’s Answer

The salary may also depend on the setting. Typically, pharmacists working in a retail setting earn more than pharmacists working in a hospital. Pharmacists who have a leadership position tend to make more as well.

Sheila’s Answer

Amira,

Gabriel's statistic is correct. There are additional factors you should consider beyond salary. The minimum of 6 years to complete the degree is expensive for most. Therefore you should also consider your finances. In addition, cities with and near pharmacy schools often have limited opportunities due to high demand for few positions.
This is to encourage you to consider all factors. Pharmacy is a great profession with personal and financial rewards. It all depends on where you want to live and the type of pharmacy you want to practice.
Best of luck.

Poli’s Answer

Hi, yes pharmacy jobs pay a lot, although do not forget to subtract taxes from the average pharmacist salary, sometimes people forget to include it. Also, remember that during the first 3-15 years, you will be paying student loans off from the same salary.

Dinah’s Answer

Pharmacy does pay well because depending on the state and county you are in, pharmacists can start making a six figure salary from the start. Each state, company, and position will have a different salary. For example, if you are a pharmacy manager, you will get a sign in bonus on top off higher pay then a staff pharmacist, but you have much more responsibilities.

Anthony’s Answer

The field of pharmacy is lucrative and pays well. However, it is essential to realize and accept that to become a licensed pharmacist in the United States requires a doctorate. These degrees are inherently expensive to earn, and it is crucial to understand the amount of debt likely accrued while working towards your degree. With that being said, pharmacists in all fields make a good living, and it is a reasonably straightforward way to guarantee yourself earning at least near-six figures by the time you’re done with schooling and training.
