What is it like to be an event coordinator/ facilitator or a sports manager?

What does a typical work day look like for a manager of a sports team or the event coordinator? Is there often overtime worked for jobs like these? At the end of the day, do workers in these positions feel happy or content with their careers?

Hi Clay,

I'm an office coordinator for a company and do a variety of tasks. I do a lot of facilities (managing vendors, making sure the building is safe and secure), employee recognition, and overall culture, as well as event planning. We're not a big company, so it's just be doing them until we get to our bigger events such as our holiday party. I find it exciting, as I love creating connections between employees and seeing them have fun. During this time of COVID, you definitely have to get more creative for virtual events but it can be even more rewarding building bonds with others. I feel like most folks I know that are in the events planning field love what they do, as they love working with people and bringing joy to others. That's just my two cents!
