Start with a business case! There are lots of great examples on the internet for business cases. Make sure you understand and can promote the business case for your company. Laying out your thoughts in a simple format will help you think about all of the questions an investor would ask before investing in your business idea. Some of the items to consider:
- Summary
- Problem Statement (what's the problem you're trying to solve)
- Solutions (why is your solution better than the others)
- Costs versus Benefits (how much will you and your investors make)
- Marketing Approach
- Implementation (what do you need to get this done)


Laying out your thoughts helps! and then, of course, it comes down to your enthusiasm and belief in your business case! If you believe in it and are enthusiastic about it, it will happen for you!

I agree with Shazia's valid points. In addition, I know a small cleaning business that has been able to grow as a result of their quality being shared with friends, family and colleagues. Never underestimate how much your work can lead to growth. To help facilitate, I recommend utilizing social media. Gig economy like Upwork and Fiverr may also help to do more short-term business with the capability to grow.
