Any tips for having the best college experience?

I know that I will be working a lot in college as well as studying and such. Past that what are some things that college students don't take advantage of doing that would make the time better? #college

Take advantage of everything your university has to offer, and don't be afraid to try new things! Join clubs on campus when you have time, go to campus events (like sporting events and carnivals and spirit days, even if they are super cheesy or lame) and go abroad (seriously, one of the best decisions in my college career). Exchange programs let you escape your university for a while experience university from another country - travel while you're young. It'll make you miss home a lot (or make you really glad that you decided to leave for a couple months! Who knows?)

Most universities have social groups on Facebook now that you can find more social events and the like. One of my favorite experiences was signing up for yoga classes with my friends offered by the athletics department. So yeah, don't be afraid to venture out of your comfort zone (but make sure to do all your work as well!)

What kevin said above, definitely take advantage on what your school has to offer. Use all the resources available to you. Have a balance of study, fun and work. Join a club, intramural sport, student organization or Greek life. When you start to build a sense of community, school becomes so much more enjoyable. It's a great way to meet new friends and meet people you thought you'd never cross paths with. Befriend upperclassman, attend networking events and show up to class. What you put in your college experience is what you’ll get out of it in the long run!
